There are several plaits available. It is used for decorative edging on cane chairs, tables, etc. Wicker plait is made from core cane and is 1.5 inches (38mm) wide. Raffia plait is a braid type plait used on the edge of the tops of seagrass tables and around the seats of some seagrass chairs. It is 25 – 30mm wide. Fibre plait is made from twisted paper (similar to that used on Lloyd Loom chairs). Several sizes include: 3/8 inch (10mm), 1/2 inch (12mm), 3/4 inch (19mm) and 1 inch (25mm).
